Bug Description

The other day, I saw that Shutter was acting weird. It took on a Windows 95 look, and never showed the "Updating Plugins." dialogue. I thought it was a bit weird, but didn't give a thought. But then, as I fired up the "Selection" tool, the screen went blank and there were Shutter icons everywhere! It was awful

Current Shuter Version: 0.93.1
Current Ubuntu Version:Ubuntu 17.04 64-bit

I think, this is related to the fact that you are using Wayland, which is not supported as of now: https://bugs.launchpad.net/shutter/+bug/1502263 Could you please verify this?

I am on Wayland. Thanks. I'll close this. BTW, is Wayland support coming to Shutter?

Not in the near future, I fear, since Shutter has been abandoned for several years. Now it has a few maintainers (who can for example apply patches submitted by the community) but not a single developer.
