screenshots have a period appeneded to the filename

Bug Description
Whenever i try to save a screenshot ( a selection screenshot at least), i capture it, then tell it where to save it, and whatever filename i try to name it as, shutter always appends a period after the specified name
so
picture.png
becomes
picture.png.
