Bug Description

In the common case of selecting a region, there is usually an unwanted solid-color border, which is uneven because it was selected manually. It would be nice to have a tool to automatically crop a screenshot so that there is no solid border.

For example implementations, see Gimp's Autocrop action and ImageMagick's convert -trim option.

How useful is that in reality? Autocrop does only work when the color is solid. Maybe I am simply not getting the point but when would this be needed?

If you're trying to take a screenshot of something that is on a solid
background, an autocrop tool can automatically crop the picture
exactly to the bounds of the thing that you want. Otherwise, you would
have to manually line everything up on all four sides, which can be
annoying to get pixel-perfect. Grabbing a picture out of a PDF is a
good example.

Maybe this could be called "shrink-wrap crop" or something.

Add +repage option to convert, because timing an then applying Hard Shadow will apply proportions to canvas before crop.
