Unfortunately, this seems to be as good as it can get
with the limitation on ctrl-c; please see comment #34.

Of course, suggestions for other methods are welcome.

And agreed on server boot time; usually deal w/ 5+min
(sometimes a lot more, depending on raid controllers).
