Easy to reproduce. UEFI vm, next next next, can't advance visually past the partitioning confirm screen.

As mentioned by leok the underlying install is actually happening but we don't advance to the identity screen to finish the job. Manually posting to the subiquity socket /identity and /timezone calls allows the install to finish.

Tested Ubuntu Budgie Mantic daily dated 02-09-2023

Installation fails - selecting "Install release" from the menu as suggested - the install stops on "Preparing Ubuntu Budgie - of note this worked well on the previous release.

If I'm to understand the bug correctly, I have not encountered this with 20231011.1.

I tried installing whole disk and I also did manual partitioning with a UEFI VM and I haven't encountered the same issue. Please tell me if my reproducer assumptions are incorrect

Could bug #2038987 and this bug be caused by the same problematic code in the installer and/or in QEMU?
