Images are sometimes not fully transmitted on flaky connections

Bug Description

It seems a connection to telegram over WiFi or mobile data often results in "half" images. (see screenshot)

I observed this with sending and receiving pictures. Would a checksum help to prevent this?

I am running on nexus 4, r24, latest stable telegram v2

I could not reproduce the "half image bug" in the last two months. Though, I often need to send an image twice.

I have never observed half images. Instead, images and messeges get never sent at all, if the connection breaks during transmission. Since mobile connections are usually flaky and trnd to be dropped an reestablished, many mrssages and images sent via Telegram get lost.

Please check if this is a duplicate of bug #1460475.

The "Images and messages are not transmitted on flaky connections" part is a duplicate of bug #1460475 but the half image is not, as far as I can see.

But as I mentioned, I could not reproduce the half image thing...

Hi,

It has only happened to me when I send a picture, not when receipt.

1- Send a image.
2- Send a image 100%
3- Receipt my image 0% a 99%
4- Disconnect WIFI
5- Connect WIFI
6- I no longer get image
7- Close Telegram
8- Open Telegram
9- Half picture

Or

1- Send a image.
2- Send a image 100%
3- Receipt my image 0% a 99%
4- Close Telegram
5- Open Telegram
6- Half picture

Okay, let's keep this ticket for the original subject (half images). For the other part (messages and pictures not sent at all), refert to bug #1460475. Thank you!

The steps from #8 to reproduce the bug works for me on my BQ Aquaris, but mostly the connection over the WLAN is too fast.
I can better reproduce the bug when using the mobile connection limited to edge. This way you can look how the picture is loaded line by line and you can interrupt it any time.
