Bug Description

Its presence continues to confuse new tempest folks. Is there anything there that some one thinks needs to be migrated to tempest? If not I will remove it.

Yes, I do not see for example swift tests anywhere else in tempest.
I found additional swift tests in the swift repo: https://github.com/openstack/swift/blob/master/test/functional/swift_test_client.py

I found swift related https://bugs.launchpad.net/tempest/+bug/1003163 test request in tempest bugs.
Which place would be ideal for implementing new swift related tests ?

What about https://bugs.launchpad.net/tempest/+bug/902400 ?

The kong contains similar auth test.
Can we modify the auth test part and integrate it to the core tempest ?

Would be better a "from scratch" implementation ?

There are a number of tests for keystone in tempest/tests/identity. They may not be as complete as those for other projects and more tests could certainly be added. Whether to use tests in kong as a starting point or not would be up to whoever was doing the work.
