Bug Description

It would be nice if the system would have trophies for former accomplishments. For was a former member of the CC, and it would be nice if the system would detect that.

Thanks Mike for your bug report!
This issue makes a lot of sense, because if we decide to let users keep trophies even if they are no longer verifiable (e.g. user got an accomplishment when he was a member, but he no longer is), it seems logical to - as long as it is easily implementable and provable - award trophies to those that used to meet accomplishment requirements.
Do you know if there is a list of former CC members available? Or any other external, *reliable* source, that might be used for verifying whether a user is a former CC member? Or some other historical sources that might be used with other accomplishments?
Personally, I think this issue should be treated separately for each accomplishment (it makes sense only for few of them), as it would use other resources for verification. Finding such resources is another task required to triage this bug.

some former accomplishments such as registering for launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-accomplishments-system/+bug/1007277) or the code of conduct seem to be a launchpad API connection that is not properly working. perhaps there is something in the call method which prevents past accomplishments from registering. maybe i'm off on this. is there any other information i need to supply in order to verify that that i am having the same issue?

Nathan, you are unfortunately wrong. The accomplishments system will award you a trophy as long as there is a proof of it in Launchpad. So unless you deleted your Launchpad account, you will be awarded "Registered On Launchpad" even if you did it 5 years ago.

The point of this bug is different. We aim to seek resources that store past information *which is no longer available*. Think of it as being able to get 'Registered On Launchpad' even when you have deleted your account. Your case, e.g. the code of conduct, is totally different, its's very present, and it's proof is available in Launchpad. Therefore, this is not the bug you are affected by.

I just installed the packages from the PPA according to the instructions in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Accomplishments/Installing, and I got no trophies for being registered in launchpad, or ubuntu member, or anything else launchpad related (also got no trophies for registering twitter in gwibber). I thought the problem was bug 1007277, but that bug is closed as Invalid. Should I reopen that bug or file a new one?

I switched to another computer some time ago. I just noticed that I've got "First Bazaar Branch Merged" but not "Uploaded First Branch to Launchpad" :) I've uploaded several branches but none are currently active owned by me since they have either been merged or ownership changed to a team.

What I'm saying is that I did get this trophy but when I switched to a new computer all my trophies did not resync. How could we make all rewarded trophies persistant? Or was this possibly caused by some 0.3 testing where I cleared local trophy files several times?
