Bug Description

On the ubuntu-phone mailing list, some users reported that the calendar app shows an incorrect form of the month for them. [1] Here's the explanation from a Polish native speaker from the mailing list:

"Listopad is the name of the month November, whereas the form 'listopada' basically means 'of November', as in 'the 20th of November'."

Michal Sawicz mentioned how to fix this in [2].

Polish months as well as English numerals one/first, two/second are available in Ubuntu for developers in Polish language in two forms:
1. Nominative case
2. Genitive case

Calendar's developers took and set the wrong case: genitive. Correct it should be nominative. Nominative always looks well in Polish also with date as in my second picture below, i mean a full date as 30 czerwiec 2016. Super corretly it should be 30 czerwca (genitive) but if the calendar app takes months only from one source, please take nominative. As i said it always looks well.
What we see at the moment is Januar's, Februar's etc.
Just change the source where the calendar takes the months from.

These bugs happens over and over again because there are always people who want to be super correct and don't take into account that a month name can be used in same case in other place so perhaps this bug is a result of some other bug fix. I can't retranslate anything in the app package. It takes months from some other source but in wrong case. I think it takes 5 minutes to correct it.

The bug also applies to Russian. I can guess, it concerns not only Polish and Russian but also other languages having cases in their grammar.
