[1 mod] Hinting: Medium: euro sign loses a crossbar at 15ppm

Bug Description

At 15 ppm, the euro sign (€) in the Ubuntu Medium proportional font loses one of its crossbars. This seems unnecessary, because there is enough whitespace to draw both bars at this size.

The attached VTT-talk patch corrects this (and fixes another cosmetic problem in the VTT hinting program).

Related question: is it possible to generate a screenshot without having an ubuntu installation at hand? If so, how?

Correction: the font in question is not the monospace, but the proportional Ubuntu-M instance.

Niels: could you explain the "screenshot" question with a little more context. It is possible to take screenshots under virtually all operating systems. What are you wanting to take a screenshot of? Is it related to the Ubuntu Font Family, or something else?

Paul: All the other hinting bugs have similar screenshots that appear to be generated automatically, so I wondered whether there exists some web-app to generate these images.

The image above shows the problem in the hinting editor. An image of a rendered euro sign showing the defect with ubuntu tools and rasterizer would make things more clear.

Niels: we had 'fonttest.design.canonical.com' for a period, which attempted to screenshot what the user was seeing in their own browser.

Latterly, it's been more a case of asking people to take a screenshot along with the two magic characters U+EFFD and U+F000 ('' and '') which but the version number and the state/size of the hint-set in use.
