Clicking on 'Today' option in the toolbar doesn't go anywhere - particularly in month mode.

I believe this is fixed in trunk (not yet on the latest phone image). I'll test and report back.

Seems to work fine, currently it works like this. In month mode, it brings today's month in focus. In week mode, current week is brought to focus. In day mode, today will be displayed.
