I'm slightly concerned about this, although if Jack is not running then it shouldn't matter:

!!Sound Servers on this system
!!----------------------------

Pulseaudio:
      Installed - Yes (/usr/bin/pulseaudio)
      Running - Yes

Jack:
      Installed - Yes (/usr/bin/jackd)
      Running - No

Still, please uninstall Jack if you can.

This sounds like bug 1166529, but I am hesitant to mark any bug a duplicate of that because if it's a port routing issue then that's unique to the motherboard model and not unique to the sound chip.

I ended up getting a USB DAC to avoid this issue all together.
