Wow! Nice! Having Aptitude working again is like bringing control into my hands over package management again. I almost forgot how much I missed it!

And from my playing around with it, it is able to resolve with multi-arch quite nicely! I haven't found any bugs with that.

But I haven't tried the reproduction steps in the description.
