flac files skip when added to playlist from sftp network location

Bug Description

Binary package hint: audacious

Ubuntu 11.04 (Ubuntu Studio)
Audacious 2.4.4-1

Playing flac files loaded over the LAN works fine when they're loaded with a 'file' URL, e.g. file:///.../.gvfs/.../example.flac

When dragging and dropping files from Nautilus into Audacious's playlist, they get loaded via sftp:// URLs and Audacious doesn't seem to buffer them enough to play without skipping. When the transport is handled by the gvfs-fuse-daemon, they play fine.

Steps to reproduce:

Using Nautilus, connect to a server location containing flac files using the 'SSH' service type.
In Nautilus, right click the flac file, select Open With Audacious
Observe no skipping during playback
While the track is playing, add an additional flac track by dragging it from the Nautilus window into the Audacious playlist window
Click next track in Audacious and observe skipping

Workarounds:
By creating a symbolic link to my SSH / sftp music share in my home directory, dragging and dropping from that folder makes Nautilus send 'file://' URLs instead of 'sftp://'
