When editing metadata, fields don't backspace or delete and arrow keys have no effect

Bug Description

In the Ubuntu MATE 16.04 Audacity (version 2.12), when exporting audio, entering data in the metadata for MP3 etc formats does not respecting editing keys such as 'del', 'backspace' or 'left'/'right'.

You can move the cursor using the mouse.

A problem with calling the GUI toolkit used?

audacity:

3) What you expected to happen

Delete, backspace and arrow keys to work as before.

They have no effect.
