Repeat Single does not smoothly loop audio

Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load any song into Banshee (preferably, one that loops. Videogames have a lot of these.)
2. Set Banshee to Repeat Single.
3. Press Play

What happens:
The last second of the song is never played.
There is a very noticeable gap between the end and the start of the song.

What I expected:
Song is reproduced in its entirety.
Song loops with no gaps.

Hi,

Could you upload a sample of one such song please? It would help with debugging
very much.

I'm afraid I don't have one I can legally upload here right now. I'll dig the repositories and upload one as soon as I find one -- however, as far as I can see, I can reproduce the problem with just any song.
