Could you run "killall -SIGQUIT banshee" when that happens, then attach the
~/.config/banshee/log file?

Thanks!

For the record, I've reported a bug with the same symptoms at
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=648696, which might turn out to be
the same as this one.

Well, that's weird, it doesn't look like any deadlock's happening, nor does it
look like anything's waiting for anything else.

Could you run "banshee --debug", reproduce the issue and do the same "killall
-SIGQUIT banshee" when it hangs, then post the log, please?

I have the same problem, with me it is every time. I reported the bug as new. The summary on my bug says Banshee crashes each time i close it. So every single time i quit banshee I am forced to quit the program because it does not respond.

For me, the normal 'Quit' option is missing from the menu. I'm running KDE.

On recent Ubuntus, Banshee doesn't have the Quit option any more. It'll shutdown
if you pause/stop playback and then exit the window.
