Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz-fusion-plugins-extra

After install/upgrading to 11.04 the Maximumize compiz plugin won't use the full available screen to maximumize in to. It takes a smaller amount, usually about 70% of the available screen starting at the top down.

I've reproduced this on a upgrade to 11.04 (from 10.10) and a fresh install of 11.04 on a different system.

Ubuntu version: 11.04 (natty Narwhal)
compiz-fusion-plugins-extra: 0.9.4-0ubuntu3

Attaching a screenshot of the issue. Empty desktop other then 1 window and just ran maximumize on the window. It fails to take over the entire empty space.

This is also a bug in Xubuntu 11.04, it only fills roughly 70% of the available space but changes by a few pixels each time the shortcut key is pressed.

Changed in compiz-fusion-plugins-extra (Ubuntu):

Is there anyone that uses maximunize that is NOT affected by this bug? Has anyone managed to resolve the issue?

I think the plugin is mostly broken and definitely needs te be fixed or left out of the compiz package.
