Bug Description
In Ubuntu 11.10 there were 2 usefull shortcuts for windows management:
- Super + W Enables the 'scale' effect, it shows all windows from all the workspaces.
- Shift + Alt + Up Enables the 'scale' effect, it shows all windows from the current workspace.
In Ubuntu 12.04 both do the same:
- Super + W Enables the 'scale' effect, it shows all windows from the current workspace.
- Shift + Alt + Up Enables the 'scale' effect, it shows all windows from the current workspace.
How will my mom find her windows form other workplaces now? :)
Super + S is not the same. It shows only the upper windows. One workspace with 2 maximized windows will show only the top one.
I understand this is a feature not a bug since the Beta had the old documentation (11.10) and the new behavior (12.04) now both are the same. I think this behavior is importand and I want to bring it back. If bugs.launchpad.net is not the right place to start a conversation on a removed feature please tell me where I can propperly do this.
Thank you for reporting this bug to make Ubuntu better. As you mention, this is not a bug but rather a feature request, something which the design team needs to approve and provide instructions. Hence I am marking this bug incomplete, Best rest assured it shall be looked into.
