Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

Trying to install Ubuntu Hardy Alpha 5 JeOS, but I can not type alphabetical characters when Slovene keyboard is selected. I can type number and use space, backspace, etc, but no ordinary characters. Works fine with US keyboard for example. This type of bug was seen in Ubuntu 6.10 and higher as well, but with 7.04/7.10 it worked fine if you selected english language, Slovenia locale and Slovene keyboard.

This is part of installing Hardy versions (be it server, JeOS or alternate) which is why I was under impression that this bug belongs to installer. I could be wrong though.

console-setup is the relevant installer component.

(debian-installer was a perfectly reasonable first place for the report, though.)

This is another instance of bug 93077, albeit with a different keymap. I've now figured out what's going on and will have a fix available shortly.
