creation of newc/crc archives with files containing multiple hard links

There is a long standing bug in cpio. It causes files with inode numbers larger than MAXINT to be archived with zero size, if these files have more than one hardlink. A patch is available since Thu, 19 Nov 2009 16:05:50 here:

Please inlcude this patch into the final release of the cpio package for Ubuntu 10.04
The bug is serious: people using cpio for backups will be fooled and data might be lost, because it is not contained in the archives created under the circumstances described above.
