Bug Description
Whenever I use the messaging menu indicator to launch apps, they won't display their menus on the top panel, but on their own windows.
I identified this issue in Gwibber, Pidgin and Liferea, but was unable to reproduce it with Thunderbird and Empathy .

Thanks for your report. I can reproduce it with liferea but also with rhythmbox launched from the sound indicator. It happens with Unity and Unity-2d
