Switching between tasks of the same app using the unity launcher in ubuntu 12.04 does not work

Steps to reproduce:
1. In ubuntu 12.04 (in unity) launch docky.
2. Open two windows of the same app e.g. nautilus.
3. Click on the icon of the app in the launcher. Nothing happens.
4. Now, close docky.
5. Click on the icon of the app in the launcher. The two windows appear.
What should happen:
The two windows of the app should appear when docky is open.
