See note from Alexx2000:
"I think it is a bug in LCL-Qt/Qt/Qt theme. It does not work only with Ubuntu default theme. And works fine with another Qt themes."

Does it work with other themes? Does the problem occur in the GTK version?

I had the same problem with version doublecmd-qt (0.5.8-1).

I uninstalled this versión (apt-get remove doublecmd-qt) and installed version doublecmd-gtk (0.5.8-1) and the "options" dialog apears without problems.

Is this still a problem with doublecmd-qt 0.7.1 in 16.04?

Unfortunately I cannot tell since I'm not on 16.04 yet, I'll try to report when I switch to the newest *buntu.
