Bug Description

Binary package hint: dragonplayer

Kubuntu 9.04
dragonplayer:
  Installato: 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2
  Candidato: 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2
  Tabella versione:
 *** 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2 0

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

While i'm playing a video, if time passes and i don't touch the mouse or press the keyboard, the monitor turns off and the system goes in stand by mode.
With VLC this does not happen, and this is very irritating behavior.
I think the auto switch to the stand by mode is good, but dragonplayer should bypass this switch while is playing a video!

It is possible to bypass the problem by modifying screen energy managment properties. In "KDE>System Configuration>Energy Managment>Edit Profiles>Screen" untick "activate the screen power management".
