Bug Description
Since upgrading to Oneiric, double-clicking on any date in the Calendar applet no longer opens Evolution to that date. Instead, nothing happens. Verifying in the Overview section of control-center confirms that Evolution is selected as the calendar application, so it must be caused by something else.

I cannot quite reproduce this issue; instead I see that evolution gets started here, is set to today's date but the small calendar view immediately switches to January 1, 1970. I think this is an issue with the applets though, rather than in evolution itself.
To clarify, you're seeing this bug with the standard gnome-panel, right? (ie. not gnome Shell, and not unity?)
