evolution switches my italian keyboard layout to the english one

Bug Description
edubuntu 9/29 live session. My system uses the english language, but I set my keyboard layout to italian as shown by the first screen shot (see the icon in the upper panel). I run evolution, write a message and then discard it: my keyboard layout is set to english as soon as the discard request windows is opened (see the 2nd screen shot)
