Huge Icons in some themes in evolution

I installed the Uniform icon theme. When I started Evolution, the offline-online account at the bottom left of the screen became HUGE. So did not information icons inside the message body. I have attached a screenshot which shows this.,

No other gnome application exhibits this behaviour.

I am using Ubuntu 15.10 (gnome session with cairo-dock). Evolution version is 3.16.5

Am not able to use a perfectly functional icon set because of this
