Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.

I get the same warnings when installing gitsome 0.8.0+ds-5 on Ubuntu 21.04, so marking confirmed.

I'm getting the same error while trying to install gitsome (0.8.0+ds-4) via Ubuntu shell on for Windows Subsystem for Linux - Windows 11 Home.

Replaced identity comparisons with equality comparisons for string literals. There were no warnings this time.

This patch doesn't have the DEP-3 header.

Two years later and this is still coming up? Identical errors after: Setting up gitsome (0.8.0+ds-4) ...
WSL (Ubuntu) on Windows 11. Hoping somebody can dig into it. Cheers!
