Pressing print screen results in no image being captured

Bug Description

Running Precise and the latest updates seems to have stopped the print screen key to function correctly. Pressing the print screen key you hear a 'click' noise but no image or dialogue is displayed or saved to where I can find them. The only way to get an print screen to work is to run it from the command line gnome-screenshot -i. This was working up to a few days ago

Actually does save, in ~/pictures, but no dialog like usual

so it does. This isn't intentional behaviour is it? This is far from discoverable, and what I generally want to do is paste the resulting image into GIMP or another application, not save the PNG particularly.
