Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Compiz looks great, but when I shut down my PC it seems to close before any open apps. This leaves a bunch of borderless applications -some of which might have been minimised or in another viewport- on screen for a second, before they all start disappearing and the system shuts down.

This looks really bad, please make compiz close after everything else has closed.

Hi David,

You reported this bug a while ago and I noticed there hasn't been any recent activity. Just curious if this is still an issue for you as I was unable to reproduce this issue with the latest compiz released in Hardy Alpha (compiz=1:0.7.0-0ubuntu1). Please let us know. Thanks!

Yes, for a split second the apps stay there, without the decorations. The same happens when the system starts: the dialogue Network Manager shows asking for a password sits there at the middle of the screen, with no decoration. Then, after a second, the decoration appears.
