grub-installer installation unsuccessful

New to Ubuntu, first time installation of 18.04 on new laptop.
MSI Stealth Pro - had to adjust kernel options using quiet splash acpi=off to avoid installation freeze. Followed through installation process and during final stage received error of grub-installer failing. Not sure of the exact reason, attached should be the actual bug.
