gst-launch-1.0 fails to play alac file, gst-launch-0.10 does

Bug Description

On Ubuntu 14.04

gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri=file:///file.m4a

works perfectly fine and is playing the m4a file.

gst-launch-1.0 playbin uri=file:///file.m4a

however raises following error:

Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
Pipeline is PREROLLING ...

(gst-launch-1.0:5136): GStreamer-CRITICAL **: gst_structure_new_empty: assertion 'gst_structure_validate_name (name)' failed
Caught SIGSEGV
