looks like a gvfs/metadata crash will send upstream.

Hello Sergio, could you attach the files at /home/sergio/.local/share/gvfs-metadata/home* ? please compress and attach them just after getting the crash there. thanks!.

A final note - once I restarted Ubuntu the files reappeared in the desktop. So far, the described problem never occurred again. Good luck and many thanks
