Bug Description

Upon adding indicator-applet-appmenu to my top panel in Gnome Classic to obtain a global menu, it crashes after a short while with error message

The panel encountered a problem while loading "IndicatorAppletAppmenuFactory::IndicatorAppletAppmenu".
Do you want to delete the applet from your configuration?

1)
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS
Release: 12.04

2) Version: indicator-applet-appmenu 0.5.0-0ubuntu1

3) I expected a functional global menu in the top panel.

4) Instead, I got nothing and a crash :)

Best,
Rasmus

Update: after a reboot where I had asked to have the applet deleted, it is now present in a frozen state. It does not respond to alt+(super)+right click.

I think I found what the problem is, didn't found a solution yet.

Basically while an app has the focus, it works just fine, once desktop has the focus, it just crashes, tried several times and always the same.

I will update the post if I found a solution.

Got it! in my case was really simple,

Seems that I added the applet several times (five exactly). I was able to identify that problem due next Help menu entry, I had four more "File" menu entries . remove all of them.. and you should be fine.

PM me (is available? just signed up) if you need some help or have more questions.

Seems it's a problem when several instances are running, they should work flawlessly and if used on several monitors, work independently for each one.
