Bug Description

Binary package hint: indicator-applet

while trying to find a way to access the session-menu via keyboard i found that there is an shortcut <ctrl>+<alt>+<esc> to access the gnome-panel.
however, when using the arrow-keys to navigate trough the different applets placed there, the focus gets trapped by the indicator applet:
there is no way to escape the volume-menu and the messaging-menu.
once opened, they can be closed by pressing <esc> *only*, not even the mouse helps here.

the same happens when you hit the application menu.
this behavior is likely to happen to the session-menu too, but i didn't manage to get there by keyboard.

mind that opening those menus by mouse can be beaten by pressing esc, while opening them by keyboard can't be beaten by mouse.

I can confirm this, however the same problem happens with the main Applications/Places/System menus. Because of this, I doubt it is actually a bug in indicator-applet --- probably gnome-panel instead.

Hopefully somebody with more knowledge of these systems will be able to assign it to the proper package.

This happens to me too. Its really bad to get into a state where mouse clicks can't recover it.
