Bug Description

When I lock my desktop and the gnome-screensaver password prompt is displayed, I see that the last active layout has been remembered and I cannot change it until the desktop is unlocked.
However if the active layout was not the English one, I cannot enter the password and I have to use C-A-Bksp to restart the whole session (and this obviously drives me mad :) ).

yes I can verify the same behaviour here too :( --however a work around for this is to click "Switch User" then you're taken to the login screen where you can change your language and login without loosing your session

well, strangely enough after posting the previous comment, I found out about bug #1260226 which tells that alt + shift and ctrl + shift still work on XOrg's side so simply you can click alt+shift to switch language while on lockscreen and it just works !!

In my case at some moment Unity had broken the Xorg keybinding so I had to set the indicator-keyboard one.
