Usually the power/battery indicator works as expected.

Still seeing this bug.

Note that this could be pretty serious if the indicator doesn't show up when the battery gets low (which seems unlikely to happen)

teo, could you please attach the output of this command the next time the icon disappears:

$ dbus-send --print-reply=literal --dest=com.canonical.indicator.power /com/canonical/indicator/power org.gtk.Actions.DescribeAll

Hm ok, it looks like indicator-power's icon is gone because indicator-power-service isn't running.

1. Is there anything for indicator-power in /var/crash?

2. What happens if you run "$ start indicator-power" ?

In /var/crash/ there are three files:

  _usr_lib_gnome-user-share_gnome-user-share.1000.crash
  _usr_lib_gnome-user-share_gnome-user-share.1000.upload
  _usr_lib_gnome-user-share_gnome-user-share.1000.uploaded

In the .crash there is a line that reads:
   indicator-power 12.10.6+15.10.20151005.1-0ubuntu1

but above and below it is nothing more that what seems to be a list of package names.

Now I already rebooted and the indicator is there, so it would be of no use to test, I'll have to wait until the next time it happens.
