shut down, power off, log off menu not working

I have just upgraded to ubuntu 1310 by upgrade tool. Since I have restarted the computer the power off menu shut down, restart, log off functions are not working at all. I cannot shut down computer from the menu. However I can do it from cairo dock's menu. Cairo Dock gives unity options to shut down or restart as it should be. Also the physical Power Button of the laptop gives 4 unity options. Other menu options are working such as system information, lock donw. When I have upgraded I have chosen to keep all config files that I had a question window for it, mostly xdg/autostart. I dont know this has got anything to do with it.
