Bug Description

Indicator-weather applet 11.05.31 fails to fetch forecast for Moscow, Russia with the error mesage "Unknown error occured while picking up weather data" no matter which service (Google or Yahoo!) is selected. Early versions from PPA did not have this problem. It broke somewhere down the road and had not been fixed since. Forecast for Toronto, Ontario works fine. Other locations may be affected.

It seems, that Google return empty forecast for this location.
Could you please try again and confirm that this bug is repeatable?

Also, could you please try the latest version from PPA (ppa:weather-indicator-team/ppa)?

Vadim, thank you very much for your prompt reply. Yes I can confirm that this bug is reproducable, and I have it for the past 5 months or so. Please note that I am using Yahoo! weather service, and get the same error message. The latest version from PPA is also affected.

If you on the other hand can go back 6 or 7 months, then the old PPA version should not have this bug. It broke somewhere down the road for some reason. Chances are the code from the old version can shed some light on it.

Google is returning empty data for Moscow - see http://www.google.com/ig/api?weather=,,,55752222,37615556

I suppose, this can be fixed in next versions of Weather Indicator - we will use several services for forecast (now we are limited to Google data only)

summary: - indicator-weather forecast fails with the message Unknown error occured
- while picking up weather data
+ Forecast: "Unknown error occured while picking up weather data" for
+ Moscow, Russia

Ubuntu 13.10 x64 "Unknown error occured while picking up weather data" with Indicator-Weather version 13.7.1 also affects me for the U.S.A. Also unable to display current location details in drop down menu as well as change locations. All worked fine prior to upgrade to 13.10 from 13.04.
