Bug Description

After installing the XML plugin I get the following error message:

/home/.../.jedit/jars/SideKick.jar:
Requires version 2.0 or later of errorlist.ErrorListPlugin, but you only have errorlist.ErrorListPlugin version 1.9.
/home/.../.jedit/jars/XML.jar:
Requires sidekick.SideKickPlugin, but sidekick.SideKickPlugin
could not be loaded.

No updates are available for ErrorList, so I'm not sure what I can do. I tried removing all jar files from .jedit and reinstalling, but that didn't help.

I guess the issue is that ErrorList 2.0 and above require jedit 5.0 or greater, while Ubuntu ships 5.0pre1. However, SideKick should not be updated to a version requiring an ErrorList version that is not installable. So the issue seems to be partly on jedit’s side (not smart enough plugin depedency resolution during plugin updates), and partly on Ubuntu’s side (shipping a pre-version).

Installing the 5.0 deb package from jedit.org fixes this issue.
