kate keyboard hangs when use "save" or "save as"

Bug Description

When I use kate to create a new file, and press save or save as, or use Ctrl-S, a Save dialog pop up, then keyboard hangs, can't type anything in the filename box, but mouse works. the only thing I can do is cancel.

I am analysing old bug reports, probably has to do with input method configuration. (I had to fix input method configuration before the upgrade to be able to type in Korean)

I found by restarting the input method can temporarily fix the problem, but it will appear again later on.
