Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

My USB printer never shows up in the printer configuration dialog under KDE's "system settings" and I can't print to my printer from any application since it is not configured. lsusb shows the device exists. This printer works fine with an Ubuntu live cd. I have this problem with 2 USB printers that are detected fine in Ubuntu.

Since the latest updates I no longer have the printer configuration dialog under KDE's "system settings". there simply is no longer any icon to configure printers.

Make sure you have system-config-printer-kde installed.

affects: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu) → kdeadmin (Ubuntu)

I reinstalled the system after karmic was released... I always seem to run to weird problems when I update the alpha's... is that normal? I no longer have this issue since the fresh install.
