Bug Description

I am unable to connect to my shared printer (Local to ubuntu) on my clients workstations (Windows 7) since the Ubuntu server upgrade to 12.04. I receive an error 0x00000003 on windows which suggests many possibilities, but as the server was the only thing to change I decided it must be that. I then looked in /var/lib/samba/ and noticed that all the nt*.tdb files had been renamed to nt*.tdb.bak for some reason, so I named them back again, restarted samba, but this had no effect. rpclient does recognise that the printer is there and so are the drivers. Cups reconises the printer and can print to it locally, any local application on ubuntu can print to the printer. I then decided to unshare the printer from system settings, I was hoping the then re-share them to see if this fixed the problem. This is where the error happened.

Harald, system-config-printer-kde was removed from Ubuntu years ago, the problem must be in some other component, probably in KDE's printer setup tool needing to be updated for recent API changes in system-config-printer.
