Bug Description

For the Ubuntu GNOME Remix, we want to showcase a pure GNOME experience on Ubuntu. We'd like to hide the extra System Settings panels Ubuntu has hacked on. With my attached merge proposal, Landscape Management (if installed) will still be accessible from GNOME Shell's Activities Overview (their version of Unity's Dash).

I also updated the Keywords syntax now that it's part of the freedesktop standard and made it translatable.

This "solution" does not scale. If you don't want an icon in the settings, wouldn't be better if you just don't ship landscape-client with the remix?

What do you mean it doesn't scale? Only a few Ubuntu apps try to add a panel to System Settings (I know of 4 in the Ubuntu repos). Could you imagine if there were a lot that did it?

We don't ship landscape-client by default but the Ubuntu image does.

It is Ubuntu that has diverged from GNOME here by including a patch that allows Ubuntu developers to arbitrarily add whatever random, poorly integrated panel they wish to System Settings. Perhaps it would be better if that patch didn't affect the GNOME session but for now, this merge proposal seemed the easiest solution.
