LibreOffice Does Not Launch with KDE Integration

apt-get install libreoffice-kde libreoffice-writer

Launching LibreOffice Writer or the Start Center just gets stuck at the splash screen with progress bar displayed but not updated... it takes over 5 minutes to load a simple docx file.

I have better luck with libreoffice-writer-nogui and no KDE integration, which loads the same docx file immediately.
