moving window to second monitor causes window to disappear from gnome panel

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Fresh install of released Intrepid w/Updates

Environments:
- Docked Lattitude D530 with dual monitor configuration. Intel chipset.
- Ati Radeon 9250 PCI GPU with dual monitor configuration.

To reproduce the issue:
Launch program. Observe the task in the gnome-panel.
Move the program over to the second display. Observe the task disappear from the gnome-panel.

In order to get back to the program, have to <alt> <tab>.

I can confirm this bug with my Ati Radeon 9250 PCI GPU. FYI: I've set up my dual monitor configuration via System > Preferences > Screen resolution.

I didn't have this problem with Ubuntu 8.04 (it is still the same hardware). But in that time I set up my dual monitor configuration with the command "xrandr --output VGA-0 --left-of DVI-0". Haven't tried this command with 8.10, so I don't know if it would make a difference.
