Bug Description

I'm using the proprietary fglrx display driver with Ubuntu 11-10 on a 64-bit system. I'm using two displays:

1. the laptop screen
2. an external monitor connected via HDMI

After suspend/resume, both displays still render correctly, and the mouse works properly on the first (laptop) display, but on the second display, its horizontal movement is compressed to about the left 20% of the screen. Disconnecting and reconnecting the second display does not help the mouse (though it continues to render correctly).

If I log out, so that the system reverts to mirror mode, then log back in, the mouse works correctly again.

I suspect that I just have to unload and reload a module around suspend/resume, but I'm not certain where to look.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/907349/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.
