Bug Description

I have installed this ISO: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20121215/raring-desktop-amd64.iso on a virtual machine on Virtual Box.
After having performed an install with a ext4 / and /home partition, I created a folder on my desktop, browsed a couple of sites an tried to halt the VM but after selecting the gear icon on the status bar and selecting halt or reboot the VM would not halt or reboot, but will exit desktop session an go to lightdm login window, I also tried to select the gear icon from login window selecting both halt and reboot but the VM would do nothing.
Had to halt the VM from CTRL+ALT+F1 and use command line.
After rebooting I got only a black screen without any logon window, from CTRL+ALT+F1 checked if lightdm started but it was in stop/waiting status.
Typed a sudo start lightdm, but all I got was a black screen.

After second reboot I could logon to my desktop session.
This time I could halt the system selecting halt from the gear icon in the status bar.
I started the VM again and also this time got a black screen.
From CTRL+ALT+F1 typed status lightdm and got stop/waiting.
Typed in sudo start lightdm but go a black screen again, status lightdm gave me stop/waiting status.

I rebooted again from command line and this time I could logon to my dekstop session.
I selected shutdown from gear icon dropdown menu and the VM shutdown correclty.
Do not know why sometimes it does not boot correctly and sometimes does.

Ok, seems I found out exactly what happens.
So If you boot Raring, log on to guest session (I had initially logged on to guest session by mistake), click on the gear icon on the status bar and select change user, enter the desktop session of the user you created during install and click on the gear icon and select both shutdown or reboot, you will not be able to shutdown or reboot, you will be brought back to logon screen and you will not be able to shutdown or reboot from there either.
To shutdown or reboot you have to log back on to guest session, select logout from the gear icon dropdown menu, log back on to the desktop session of the user you created during install and then you will be able to shutdown or reboot.
From this I understand that if guest is not logged out you will not be able to reboot or shutdown.
This may be fine, but at least there should be a message warning the user that he cannot shutdown or reboot because there is a user still logged on.
If no message is diplayed it looks like there's a bug but instead you cannot reboot or shutdown as a user i still logged on to his session.
