2007-07-01 15:21:31 Jérôme Guelfucci None: statusexplanation Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description doesn't yet have enough information. Please include the following additional information using the latest kernel available, if you have not already done so (please pay attention to lspci's additional options), as required by the Ubuntu Kernel Team: 1. Please include the output of the command "uname -a" in your next response. It should be one, long line of text which includes the exact kernel version you're running, as well as the CPU architecture. 2. Please run the command "dmesg > dmesg.log" and attach the resulting file "dmesg.log" to this bug report. 3. Please run the command "lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log" and attach the resulting file "lspci-vvnn.log" to this bug report. And what do you mean by not being able to shut down and restart ? What happens when you try to do so ? For your reference, the full description of procedures for kernel-related bug reports is available at [WWW] http://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies. Thanks in advance!

2008-08-26 16:43:31 Leann Ogasawara linux-source-2.6.20: statusexplanation Hi All, This report was opened a while ago and there hasn't been any recent activity. The Hardy Heron Alpha series is currently under development and contains an updated version of the kernel. It would be helpful if you could test the latest Hardy Alpha release: http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . You should be able to then test the new kernel via the LiveCD. If you can, please verify if this bug still exists or not and report back your results. Thanks. Hi guys, Thanks for the feedback. danbuter, care to open a new bug report regarding the issue you are seeing ? The reason I ask is becasue Steven, the original bug reporter, has commented that this is no longer an issue for him so it's likely you are experiencing a slightly different bug. Per Steven's last comment I'm marking this "Fix Released". Thanks.
